The Can’t Rant

I hear it all the time; I know I use it more than I should that word: can’t. It should not be allowed. If you can’t do something, why? You need to figure out what the barrier is keeping you from achieving your goal. Do you need to train more, practice more, maybe you just need more time to really learn it or maybe you just need help. I often hear can’t, every day in fact as I am sure you do too. We have a rule in my house; the word can’t does not exist. My little ones know we don’t use that word, instead we say I need help, I haven’t learned that yet or I will be able to do it soon. I know it doesn’t seem like much but it is. Changing your words can change your approach to a problem you can’t figure out. Push yourself to figure out how you can. Being able to expand your thought into finding more ways of how you can will help bring more positive into your life by helping you achieve more. So next time you get ready to say that nasty little word think about why and approach it. Sometimes it means you will have to admit ‘I don’t know’, but that’s how we really grow isn’t it, learning more by being honest. So yes you can, yes I can and yes we all can!
