Part 2
The quest for craft beer continues…
We took a break and went to eat while the crowd rolled in a bit (It was so worth being VIP and getting an hour to ourselves and some awesome swag! The food truck were awesome, well at least the two we had. I had to have a pretzel and when we saw a schnitzel truck we knew exactly what we were having.
Holy Schnitz pork sandwich was amazing! Light, crispy fried and delicious on a pretzel roll with potato salad. It was so big we split it. Yummy!!!!!
The Amish Pretzel Shop was perfect for the day. Yummy fluffy pretzels (I had a plain one with cheese dip). It hit the spot and was so buttery and salty and delicious I couldn’t even finish it. It also helped us move on to part two of Beer Fest!!
With bellies full we must trek on!!!We start are second go round with Motorworks midnight Expresso Coffee Porter (6.5%) a good one to pick you up and get you back into the game. Had the bitter coffee with a smooth finish. My husband liked a lot. I went a little on the lighter side and had the Vienna Lager. It was nice but not my favorite.
We didn’t stop at 3 Daughters as they didn’t have their darker beers out but having some in the fridge should be enough for us to know they are good!
Next stop was Tactical Brewing. Husband had the Portitication chocolate coffee porter (6.2) and I had the Yojo coconut white stout (6%). They were both good but had a fair amount of coconut taste. So if you like coconut flavor definitely go for it. Might be my go to but I wouldn’t turn it down either.
We had to stop by Breckenridge Brewery as we constantly have their Vanilla Porter stocked in our fridge, even the new nitro cans (only 5.4%). Always a go to for both of us.
The next was impressive from Homebrew Supplies and their Jalapeno Cream Ale (5.5%) it was so good. Clean, fresh and a subtle hint of hot. I really enjoyed this beer and its unique flavor. This one is definitely worth a try and I will be having again. And again.
We have to stop by Orlando Brewing, being there before the beer is always awesome and when we saw Chocolate Mint Girl Stout we were in! (6.5%). It was good.
Well here is where it tapers off. Seriously people all these good beers in one day?!? I needed a break! This mommy isn’t used to having a day date filled with awesome beer!
But I will tell you I will be at the next Orlando Beer Fest and I hope to see you all!
So what is you favorite beer????? Let’s talk about this 🙂
